This week Stagecoach issued a news release to announced several reduced fares on the Clitheroe/Skipton section of the 280 route:
EARBY > SKIPTON
Adult SINGLE reduced from £3-00 to £2-50.
Adult RETURN reduced from £5-40 to £4-50.
A new adult WEEKLY (7 day) ticket is introduced priced at £16-00. This allows unlimited travel between Clitheroe (Interchange) and Skipton (Bus Station).
For an adult travelling between Earby and Skipton five days a week, the new WEEKLY ticket represents a saving of £6-50 as compared to buying five separate day returns.
A similarly valid child WEEKLY ticket is available at £12-00.
The reduced fares to/from Skipton also apply from Barnoldswick, Salterforth, Kelbrook and Sough.
All the above revisions took effect Sunday, 31 October.
Travelling towards Preston, there is still an adult WEEKLY ticket which costs £29-00. Not only does this cover the whole of the 280 route but also allows onward travel from Preston to places such as Blackpool, Southport, Liverpool & Lancaster.
The 280 timetable remains unchanged. All timings are as shown in the Lancashire County Council/Stagecoach printed timetable dated July 2020 plus amendment sheet of August 2020.
